The Anthurium Warocqueanum, known as the Queen Anthurium, is one of the most majestic rare aroids you can own. Its long, velvety, deep green leaves with striking silver veins can grow to extraordinary lengths — a true showpiece for serious collectors.
Plant Care Guide
- Light: Medium to bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun. Thrives under grow lights if natural light is limited.
- Watering: Water when the top layer of the mix is dry. This species is sensitive to both overwatering and underwatering — consistency is key.
- Humidity: Requires high humidity of 70–90%. A humidifier is strongly recommended, especially in drier climates.
- Temperature: Prefers warm conditions between 18–28°C. Does not tolerate cold — keep above 15°C at all times.
- Soil: Needs an extremely well-draining, airy mix. Use orchid bark, perlite, and a small amount of potting mix. Avoid dense soils.
- Fertiliser: Feed every 3–4 weeks during the growing season with a diluted balanced fertiliser. Flush the soil occasionally to prevent salt build-up.
- Repotting: Repot only when necessary — this species prefers to be slightly root-bound.
